Dr. Fleischmann was awarded the Arthur B. Guise Medal at the 2011 SFPE Annual Meeting in Portland, Oregon where he presented the Arthur B. Guise Award Lecture titled "The Transformation of Performance Based Fire Engineering Design - Where Will We Be in 20 Years". This award recognises eminent achievement in the advancement of the science and technology of fire protection engineering.
